Mike- I did this job on a V8 about 6 months ago. If you put several hundred
miles on the car with the boot torn I recommend you remove the axel,
disassemble, clean, inspect regrease, and reassemble. The hard part of the
task on the V8 was getting at the axle. The rest was relatively easy. BTW, the
boot kit contained a new wheel bolt, and I agree with Phil. Use a new bolt,
they are designed to stretch and in fact do! The wheel nut requires a 17mm hex
head socket which I bought at a local parts store (S-K I think ). HTH
