Hm, I'm going to get an inside door handle with its black plastic
hinge-holder thing from a yard very soon; how far in the line of 
parts is the trouble spot from the inside handle?
(No sense in detaching something that might break and need to 
replace too when I install the handle or soon thereafter, but no 
sense in paying for spares of bulletproof parts either)
