V8 still

Well, that V8 I was looking at didn't pass muster with my mechanics.  It had
been wrecked and rebuilt a little worse than it should have been, it had 
some nasty oil leaks (read $$$) and some bad corrosion (for a car from VA?!).
That and a myriad of other things that probably totalled a grand in repairs
by themselves (lights, switches, trim, etc).  So, no go.

I'm back to the car from Kar.  I knew from the start I should be looking for
the best example I could fine, regardless of price.  It cost me $70 for the
check, but it was well worth it...and now I know a little better than to try
and save a few bucks now and wind up paying for it later.
