As long as the rear piston diameter is the same as stock, it shouldn't
matter.

I would suggest flushing the rear brake lines twice - left, right, left,
right.  This seems to push something around in the proportioning valve.

It's _not_ adjustable.

No.  Either a dead proportioning valve, or too small a piston diameter
or sewpt area in the 4000q calipers.
