1990 V8 Torx Info

Does anybody know the size of the Torx bolt for the thermostat housing on a
1990 V8 Q and where i could get the Torx bit?  Pls. help.  Yes, i have an
overheating problem with my Audi.  It's really scary, when i drive to NYC and
get stuck in traffic, the temp gauge goes up to 3/4 of its range (110 degrees)
and my elect. fan won't come on.  One time the elect. did come on but at about
115 deg.  I've changed the radiator thermo switch but nada, nothin.  Any input
would be appreciated.
