... well, I have yet to do the QTC, but I can tell you for a fact that the
bolts that attach the prop shaft and front half shafts on a 4kQ are 8mm
triple squares ... I suspect that the US spec'ed QTCs are the same ...
I've had the same 8mm triple square for probably 15 years ... it is getting
worn to the point that I want to replace it soon, but one of the nice things
about the triple squares is that they do provide a much more positive
engagement than a hex head. My 8mm bit was machined from an allen key, so
it is likely I can refresh mine by cutting off the worn end ...
unfortunately the set I got for Mike is not built the same way ...
