Re: 5KCSTQ: 'Unshakable' Steering Wheel Shimmy
On my CGT, badly rusted brake rotors turned out to be mostly responsible
for a steering wheel shimmy, right at the magic 55 of course. I had the
wheels dynamically balanced to correct this (at NTW in North Dallas,
Addison actually). Of course they are the same shop who bought me a new
rear hub when they stripped a lug nut and gave me a set of Pirelli P500's
free when I had about 7 visits under my belt for the aforementioned hub
issue and an impossible balancing/pulling problem which they could not
correct. It turned out that they had put one tire on my car which was
one size bigger than the rest. Hmmm.
