Why not just pick up a set of the standard Audi alloy wheels that came on
the type 44 bodies from 1986-1988.  That way you have wheels that were
designed for the body and also have a clean design which doesn't retain much
snow.  These wheels should be easily found at a junk yard.  I use them in
the winter.
