V6 HP

Fellow Audians

One of our mechanically astute list members (not anyone that's
been involved in this discussion, thus far) is working on a
V6-12V upgrade.  I'm assuming he hasn't weighed in on this
particular issue because he doesn't count chickens (HPs?) until
they hatch.  Anyway, the parts and pieces he's been working with
include the regular suspects -- better intake, better throttle
body; heads with larger valves and better flow characteristics;
equal length headers, and an appropriate exhaust system. I
believe he's been finding HP in the 240 to 250 range and a bit
more torque than that.  When he has it all sorted out (probably
before years end) I'm sure he'll be in touch with the list.  I
think it's a great project because it will allow a whole slew of
Audis (from 1992 - 1997) to stretch their legs.  BTW, I'm not
involved in this project in any way, but it has caused me to take
a second look at the "old" A6 Avant.
