My JVC head unit was even harder to convert- because it's a removable
face-plate, I could change only the coloured 'condoms' over the bulbs for
orange ones. Some of the buttons are backlit by miniature green LEDs-
impossible to change. I've still to come up with a solution for that, as I
now have a bi-colour illumination. Very weird-looking. Knowing myself, it's
enough reson to buy a new head unit someday... dreaming of a Becker, or a
top-of-the-range Grundig...
