Yes, the Cali parts do not end in C. "Do not mix 49 states control units
with Cali control units or vise(sic) versa."
The difference between the two is that the 49 states loses the code after
the ignition is shut off. Cali ECUs store the code post-shut off (easy
check w/o pulling the part). D2-110-1 lists other info about Cali ECUs
operation.
