NewsFlash! US Qlister Going to New Zealand.

I have in front of me an itinerary for travel. Depart Greenville, SC on
9-17 with a layover in Los Angeles, arriving in Auckland on 9-20. Return on
11-20 with a stopover in LA, arriving in Greenville on 11-28.

I'll be unsub'ing next week from the various lists to which I am sub'd and
hopefully resub once I get situated down there. Unfortunately I'll miss all
the fun fall events planned or contemplated by my fellow US 4-ringed fans,
but I hope to replace them with new ones in New Zealand. It is a work trip,
but it should be regular work weeks, not a huevos-to-the-wall grind, so I'll
have weekends to explore.

I would very much like to have a chance to meet any Kiwi listers that I can.
Two names emerge from my murky memory, Dave Eaton and Greg Sparks. If you
two gents are interested, please let me know. If there are others, please
speak up as well. One way or another I'm sure I'll have email capability
there. As soon as that is accomplished I'll resub and post to let you know
and hopefully we can meet. Would love to tag along to any auto-related
events that might be going on during my time there. Only thing I know of is
the Eichards Queenstown Classic Road Race on 11-7 (found while surfing).
Any others?

I am trying to arrange a garage to leave my two cars in for the 10 weeks
I'll be away. My intention is to get them out of the elements and then just
disconnect the batteries. Anybody out there with any further suggestions on
this? I'm debating changing the oil on both before-hand as well. If the
garage thing doesn't work out, I'll make sure someone drives them
periodically.

So, what souvenirs should I be looking for when I'm there?
