Bollocks.  I just ordered new guide pins right at the Audi dealer.

If there's ever any part from a well-known manufacturer that you strongly
suspect is being suppressed by a local agent because it's too much effort
or not enough profit margin, our Pete Reeve can usually get it.  He has
a trade account right at the Girling factory.
