I agree with Phil to replace the WOT switch if the design has been improved
upon. Not sure what (or when made) the improvements are though. I can say that
with my experience in electronic repair this job is easy and has reliably
worked for me for now almost a year. That said, if the new design is that much
better (again, what changed?) I will likely replace it the next time it fails.
As far as the resistance...yes, that is key which is why I say to resolder
even if the connections don't look bad *and* clean the contacts (well) with a
relay burnishing tool. Worked for me...
