The 83 to 85 was 70% galvanized, the 86 and up were all 100%
galvanized.. Even the fully galvanized cars can rust if mistreated,
but in your case, it is the ungalvanized parts that rust - bodywork
has to be done by somebody that will re-galvanize before painting to
keep the galvanization.
