Re: NEW QLIST WEB - suggestions

Exactly. When Dan asked a while back (before his vacation) for volunteers
for each platform or area, only a handful of people responded. Everyone is
busy and all but if all of us who are full of piss and vinegar would get
with "the program", we would be where we want to be a LOT sooner (not that
your efforts aren't appreciated and all that). I'm currently working with
a $4 Billion computer software vendor on how best to do real-time tech
support over the internet (web, nntp, proprietary, gateways from which to
which, login synchro, info standardization, etc...). This is NOT a trivial
task. We've been working on this for a year (and they're finally seeing
the light, thank goodness, the candle is burning my fingers now <g> ), and
that's with a 6 figure project budget. Of course, the scale is (MUCH)
larger but the issues are that SAME. The past few weeks we've thrown
together a few prototypes that are (superficially) working as good as the
commercial product we've been (trying to) working with for the past year.
Dan has put a lot of effort and planning into this on the back-end,as well
he should. It's the most important part. the GUI is easy. Let's not jump
the gun here......

Personally, I have an 88 90Q so I'm "in charge" of that family. I have a
list of everyone who has an 80/90 who's posted that info over the past few
months. I'm also compiling (as it happens) the Acronym FAQ <3rd
installment coming soon> and will be asking for some help in standardized
info to take it to the next level. But I'm busy myself so that will have
to wait until later this week.
