RE: US q-lister coming to New Zealand
Hi Ed
Just catching up on my quattro list mails and spotted your note re NZ visit.
I live in Hamilton (90mi S of AK) and would love to catch up with you and
chew the 4-ringed fat.
Has Dave been in touch?? He lives in Wellington but is frequently in AK - if
you can get to Wgtn you would have the chance to drool over what must be one
of the best 20V Urqs in the world. Oh, he also has an RS2.
As far as motorsport events go we have the Targa NZ coming up soon (can't
remember dates exactly but will check and let you know). It's a tarmac
special staged based Classic car rally - very popular and exciting though
usually held midweek and difficult for me to get free for.
Check out this!

see the supporters tour info for dates - looks like right time for you and
weekend 1-2Nov might work for me too.
Keep in touch (check out gallery pages at http://www.a4.org under Black
category for a fabulous NZ A4 :).)
Cheers
Greg Spark
Hamilton, NZ.

Subject: NewsFlash! US Qlister Going to New Zealand.
I would very much like to have a chance to meet any Kiwi listers that I can.
Two names emerge from my murky memory, Dave Eaton and Greg Sparks. If you
two gents are interested, please let me know. If there are others, please
speak up as well. One way or another I'm sure I'll have email capability
there. As soon as that is accomplished I'll resub and post to let you know
and hopefully we can meet. Would love to tag along to any auto-related
events that might be going on during my time there. Only thing I know of is
the Eichards Queenstown Classic Road Race on 11-7 (found while surfing).
Any others?
I am trying to arrange a garage to leave my two cars in for the 10 weeks
I'll be away. My intention is to get them out of the elements and then just
disconnect the batteries. Anybody out there with any further suggestions on
this? I'm debating changing the oil on both before-hand as well. If the
garage thing doesn't work out, I'll make sure someone drives them
periodically.
So, what souvenirs should I be looking for when I'm there?
