A couple of other things you may want to consider that I do when I put
my 911 away for the winter:
1) Definitely top off the fuel tank, this prevents any consensation
build-up.
2) Add stabilizer to your fuel tank. This will prevent the fuel from
"varnishing" and preempt any fuel system fouling.
3) If you're in a cold climate in an unheated storage area, make sure
your antifreeze is up to snuff. I'd recommend a radiator flush with
fresh coolant.
4) Again, depending on the condition of your storage area, cover your
car with a car cover or other "breathable" material. DO NOT USE PLASTIC
BASED COVER!!. Condensation can build up and "fog" the paint if the
cover does not breathe.
5) If the storage area is prone to insects/rodents, plug up any easily
accessible areas that may be good winter nesting/hiberbation spots (eg.
exhaust)
6) As for the oil change, maybe not a bad idea to have "fresh" oil while
in storage, but not required.
