There is a TSB associated with the rotten egg smell, though its not a
rememdy. Basically, Audi blames oxygenated gas. You can try a different gas
station and see if that helps. You can bring your car to a VAG 1551
equipped mechanic (all Audi dealerships) and have then diagnose the
exhaust.

That's about it.

My '92 used to stink to high heavens, but not so much anymore and I don't
know why.

  My 100CS (93, Automatic) smells a bit like rotten eggs when I stop the
  car.  I suspect the catalytic converter.  Would I be so unlucky that
  this symptom simply forbodes an early death for this converter, or is
  this a common (albeit) noxious habit for this vehicle.
