An Audi buying spree

All,
After some thoughts, trials and tribulations my wife and I may be about to clean house and get some new ponies in our stable. It started out as me simply getting a car to replace my well loved and hot rodded Scirocco as my commuter car. Something a little more roomy and perhaps better suiting my 35 years of age. With that I narrowed it down to a very sweet, well maintained 1990 90 quattro 20V. You've seen the posts most likely. Then, green with envy, my beautiful and curvaeous wife decided she liked my original plan of simply buying her a newer car and handing over the Jetta GLI to me. This was not a bad option. The Jetta is in excellent shape, needing only a window regulator and some R12.
A few months ago that would have been fine but now that I've enjoyed the refinement of the 90 20V I have lost my appetite for the perky, high revving 16V for the perky, high revving all-wheel drive of the 20V. Well, all being fare in love and war, a 1990 V8 quattro has sprung up too. The price is unreasonable but now armed with Edmund's pricing guide and Steve Buchholz' list of equivalent V8 quattros for sale nationwide, I am prepared to battle the car salesman hoards for a more reasonable purchase price. Actually, talking to the salesperson on the phone, he seemed almost likable.
So, by this time tomorrow, I may have cleansed my home of Volkswagens all together, with great sorrow I might add. The bright side to all this is I will have a V8, a 20V and a Turbo Quattro Coupe for the same price of owning a new A4. Kind of puts it in perspective, doesn't it?
Cheers
Anton
