No, it will be equivalent to a head-on collision between two identical vehicles,
each moving at 17.5 mph.
If they were moving at the speed of light (~300,000 km/sec), then the above
statement would've held true according to the General Relativity Threory, worded
out in Princeton by a nutty scientist with a heavy German accent a long while
ago.
Oh well, journalists are seldom pysicists...
