Re: TT

Before we panic (re: no quattro and "only" 180hp) let us consider the sources.
All "official" releases (via Automobile mag review, etc.) indicate that the US
is supposed to get only the full on 200-something horse quattro version of the
TT. Do we believe these sources or that of a single Audi dealership?! I know I
trust Audi dealers implicitly ;-)

As far as "no quattro" the thought is insane. Audi is so close to selling
nothing but quattros in the US already. (What is it? Something like 70 or 80%
of all new Audis sold here now are quattros?) If anything I would think they
would go the way of scuby-doo and make every car they sell here awd. Scuby-doo
makes that a huge selling point here (i.e. the comparo ad with ovlov where
every ovlov has cupholders but only one has awd). Audi's latest ad campaign
focuses on "the unfair advantage" as well. Does anyone really think they will
bring over the first bonified sucessor to the ur-q and not give us quattro?! I
mean come on...you'll more than like get the same driveline offered in the new
beetle. Would Audi really allow themselves to allow their "sports car" to be
"one-upped" by a VW bug?!

Done ranting...let's see what happens. I know we are deprived here by AOA but
they can't be that dumb! (Can they?)
