Heater Core Woes.

Well I got half my dash apart, thankfully did not unhook the radio  (no
codes from PO).  And realised this was over my head.  Due to a lack of
fundinf my '88 80 will now be without heat indefinitely.

BTW.  Does anyone know of any adverse affects on the coolant or A/C systems
from running constantly without the heater core.  Mine is currently
bypassed.  I have the hoses tightly joined by a 3/4 hose splice kit.

Possibly wanted:  used audi, manual tranny, model unimportant, quality
required: drivable.  something that will get me to and from place, does not
have to look great, or even good.  But, it does need to be legal (i.e.
working lights and speedo), run, and have a working FM radio.  A/C optional,
heat a plus ;)
