    John,

    You are right, the Ferodo brake pads rated in the top slot for street use
in EC's Comparison Brake Test.  That's what coaxed me into buying a set for
my 5ktq.  I was replacing my "burned to a crisp" Cool Carbons.  I must say,
EC was right!  The Ferodo "street" pads are the best brake compound I have
found to date!  And, I've tried quite a few.  They are really great.  They
don't squeal, stop great in cold and wet, don't fade much at the limits, and
don't produce too much brake dust.  I love 'em.  They are fine for the
occasional track use as well.  I'll be replacing the brake pads on my 200tq
with them when my metal masters wear out.

    I'd highly reccomend them for your Ur-Quattro, but it is also reccomended
to replace your rotors at the same time as well.  The only place I know of in
the country that stocks these pads for Audi is Velocity Sport Tuning in CA.
Thier number is 310-643-0005.  I had to wait two months for them to get a
shipment in from England, and they had to have them air shipped from the UK.
Hopefully they will have them in stock for you, but they were well worth the
wait.  I hope you are as pleased with them as I was.
