Listers:

I hope to soon be an active participant with a 'new' '87 5ktq purchase  
pending.  Owner says it's in great shape, everything works, 100k mi., 
$5k obo. But I'm going to have it inspected anyway--questions:

1. Other than the usual inspection routine, what on this model should be 
scrutinized?

2.  The car's a/c is blowing luke-cold air--if this is more than just a 
recharge, what could the cost be of replacing it?

3.  Anyone know of a good Audi mechanic in the L.A./South Bay Hermosa 
Beach area?

4.  Any problems that tend to crop up on this model I should be aware of 
for the future would also be helpful (so I don't have a sh*t fit when 
such n' such breaks ;) )

5.  It'll spend 95% of time in HOT weather--anyone affix an oil cooler  
or other keep-cool device on these cars?
