Alex's 89 V8Q
Alex,
When I bought my V8 the brake sensor light was
on and the idiot wholesaler thought he was putting one
over on me by saying was pads when he thought it was UFO
rotors. He was wrong :). It turned out that it was just
pads which were also expensive but the rotors have at least another
45K miles. The light didn't go off though because there was a bad wire in
the harness-so I had it cut. I will eventually replace the harness.
My guess is that the 1989 enough like my 1990 that you'd better be
prepared for $$. There were very few made, parts are expensive and hard to
find, the car is really sensitive and needs regular maintenance etc. It
even has a weird oil filter that costs $14.00.
However, if it snows alot in Poland and you like to drive fast on
highways this is your car. Just hope that Poland doesn't catch Russian
economic disease or you have a rich relative. This car is money.
Best,
Larry
