This appears to be a VERY low price for this car, if it is in a decent
shape. Especially given the new front end. The "market research" which I
did a few months ago, which eventually got me a 1988 90q w/159,000 miles on
it , indicated that they usually go for $ 3 -5K depending on condition. I
would say, if there aren't any serious problems with the car ( bad leaks,
burning oil, drivetrain noises) buy it. Even if there are some issues
and it turns out later on that you need to put some money into it, it
will be a good investment, imo. If the car was properly maintained (ask for
service records) people say you should expect it to run up to and beyond
300,000 without too many problems. Check the archives for recent buyer's
checklists for this model, or e-mail me, I may be able to dig some out for
you.
