   I'd put it on back. Steering is too sensitive to mismatched tires,
   especially on quattros. Or, put it on front and burn rubber on that side
   alot!

Personally (being of the school of thought that it's "my tires or my life",
so I will not even attempt to "economize" on tires), I'd buy *two* new tires,
putting them up front, and retiring the best "left-over" tire as my spare
(you've never touched your spare, right? and it's now pushing 5 years old,
so the rubber is old and decrepit...unless of course it's a mini-spare, in
which case never mind...)
