Well, I'm intimately familiar with those on my 1988 90qs, and they have a
sharp horizontal cutoff just where they should (given clear lenses).  That
makes them a whole lot better than the in-your-face glaring fogs people
drive around with permanently on no matter what the weather.  I'm waiting
for some serious fog or snow to test them as driving lights with the (DOT)
mains off.  Do the PIAAs of your acquaintance actually use the mounting
approach of Audi, which for the 90qs, is a plastic tang on the fixture that
fits into a slot on the valence, or does one have to adapt them?
