problems fixed to date:

1- wet carpet / pass side 
     pulled a rubber plug from drain tube which passes thru fire wall on pass
side.

2- odometer not functioning.
	this one took lots of guts since entire dash display incl. speedo work fine.
Was afraid to break something else. After 3 months of fear I attempted the
job. Was hard to remove speedo needle without breaking it but was able to fix
problem. Rod which mounts odometer number wheels slid out of place.
Repositioned it & works ok. can't believe how many miles I put on this thing
in one day. It's fun to drive!

3- Window switches functioning intermittently.
	I opened the switches & found an arched piece of metal that gets pushed down
by a plastic square when you depress switch. The arch must flatten over time.
I bent the metal to increase the arch and even the oldest (seemingly original
switch) now functions. I also scraped all contact surfaces. 
	Even after opening the switch I can not figure out how the circuit works.
There are five connections which puzzle me. CAN ANYONE HELP ON THIS ONE? 

which leads me to the unresolved problems list.
1-	One window not operable. I assume from my testing that it is the window
motor. I understand the motor can only be had attached to the regulator.
Wondering the best way to test motor before unnecessarily ordering regulator
from Blaufergnugen. What is the easiest way to replace regulator?

2-	Driver's side carpet wet. I assume from leaky door seal. Anyone have
experience with this one to point me in the right direction?

3-	Transmission seems to slip  (good revs but not much acceleration), but very
infrequently. Anyone have any suggestions?

4- 	Humming from front end when veering right at highway speeds. I assume this
is wheel bearings. Can anyone verify?

I bought this car cheap and am trying to keep it that way. Will try to fix
anythig I am able to. Have been following this group for quite some time and
have developed great confidence in the advice of you guys. Thanks alot for any
help you can offer. I am enjoying this car more than I ever expected to. I
enjoy it even more when these unique Audi problems are resolved.
