RE: Removing trunk shocks '85 4kq



I've done this twice in the last year.  I think I've finally discovered an
"easy" way to put them back on.  I put the end closest to the seat in first
(back in the cubby-hole).  They generally snap on pretty easily.  But I
always struggled getting the other end on, pushing up on the trunk lid and
finding that the strut is too long.  But then I simply took a screw driver
and bracing the tip of the screwdriver on the body (under the back window),
used it as a lever to force the other end on the little nub.  I'm not sure I
explained that well, but I hope it helps; and I hope I don't forget it too.
