I have just replaced a strut mount on my '88 urQ. The symptom was a
click when turning at parking speeds. It was so bad it could be felt through
the pedals!
I confirmed that the bearing was at fault by slowly turning the steering whilst
stationary and watching the tops of the struts. Whilst the strut with the good
bearing turned smoothly, the bad one turned, paused, clunked, and then started
to move again.
