   Had the lines on the '84 5KS spring some pinhole leaks too. 
  I cut out the offending sections (small, like you said, where the 
  rubber clips were) and replaced it with high pressure fuel line.
   That was about 2 years ago, and no more leaks yet.  I have 
  been meaning to replace the lines, just haven't gotten around 
  to it, I don't think the OEM fuel lines are that expensive, and
  they were available from an alternate parts source.
