RE: Mobile 1
Just thought I would finally chime in on this thread.
I love Mobil one but with the cold winters the 15-50 is too thick
below 20 degrees. Car turns over slow and takes a bit to start. Tried
5-30 and that cured problem. BUt my 180,000 mile motor burns a bit of oil
for some reason.
I switched to Castrol Syntech 5/50. Seems to work great.
Starts easy in winter, doesn't burn as fast as 10/30 , 5/30 does. ANd
Shucks has it on sale for $2.69 a quart this month (October) I think
I'll buy the limit of 2 cases. ANd maybe 2 more at another store :)
This oil seems as good as Mobil 1 in my limited experience but I
like having the 5/50 weight spread. Starts easy, protects well at high
temperature.
Just my humble opinion. Have a wonderful day y'all. L8R
