Brakes

Hey guys,

Need some ideas about what might be wrong with my brakes on my 84 5ks.  90%
of the time I get quick brake action when I press on the brake pedal, but
the other 10% of the time (which I'm worried about), I have to press the
pedal farther down to the floor to get the brakes to engage.  Any ideas
what might be causing this, or is this a sign of something big wrong?  Any
collective ideas would be great.  I'm afraid to drive until I find out what
is wrong/get it fixed.
