Any dealer who declares a warranty void because there's a chip in the car is
a dealer you don't want to do business with.

There are chips and there are chips.  The Hoppen chips have a good
reputation among the Audi crowd. The TAP chip has mixed reviews, but I've
not heard anything bad about TAP's S4/S6 chip, which my dealer says is
essentially identical to the Hoppen Chip.  Superchips is an unknown, they
seem to have a chip for every vehicle, which may mean that they don't do a
good job on any of them.
