Idler pulley question, 86CGT
Hi,
I recently purchased an idler pulley to use in my timing belt replacement
on my 86 Coupt GT. My first timing belt change attempt failed because I
could not manage to lock the crankshaft pulley (I tried the 12mm
hex-wrench trick without success). So, I have not yet taken off the old
idler pulley, but I have a couple of questions:
1) The part that I purchased looks WAY too small. It has an OD of 2"--the
one on my engine (10V-I5) looks about twice as big. Beck/Arnley part#
024-1049, does anybody know how big it really is--it is one piece, right?
2) Is removal just a matter of pulling it off?
TIA,
Jeff Blanchard
