89' 200tq: Air Temp & Hall Sensor
I've been trying to track down a problem with the knock sensor in my 89'
200tq. Now that I'm waiting for my new knock sensor to arrive after
checking it's leads and connectors, I'd thought I'd check out some other
components that would cause the check engine light to come on. I've
checked the resistance on the air temp sensor without disconnecting it
from the ECU. The reading I got was 500 ohms. I read that the sensor has
to be disconnected in order to take the readings. Could this mean that
it is not making connection with the ECU somewhere down the lines? Also
I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to check to see if my Hall
Sensor is in working condition.
thanks,
Mike
