FWIW, I put over 230,000 km on my previous AWD 2.0L turboed (oil&water
cooled) car (present owner has topped 300K) without a turbo timer, or for
that matter, much attention to the "cool down". Caveats - used Mobil 1
only, work and live a nice leisurely mile or so off the Interstate, so some
"cool down" was built in. Would never "ride hard and put away wet".
