Carl Merrill dies

In case the list hasn't been cc'd, Carl Merrill died Saturday of cardiac
arrest while driving in an Arizona rally.

I am a fan of Mr. Merrill, as I'm sure many others here are.  Rally
racing, along with many other organizations, will suffer a tremendous
loss.  If the news alone doesn't evoke a tear, his obituary will.  He
was a significant man, to say the least.  I won't post it unless no one
else does, to keep repetition at a minimum.

I just caught Carl on the deuce yesterday afternoon, where he won. 
We'll miss you.
