My book says to spin the engine until the dial stops going up.

What I _don't_ find documented is whether the other plugs should be
in or out - it makes a big difference to the speed of rotation.

(On John Coughtrie's WR, having a plug in #4 made a big difference
 to #5, but we fixed that with a new head gasket.)
