Obviously Levent's on the wrong List, maybe he should try the A4.org list, they seem
to cater to the "young and brash" crowd. I would venture to guess that probably over
80% of the QList members drive or own at least one "old" Audi (4k or 5k in US terms,
I wouldn't mind having a 4kq project car myself). I'm reminded of a post I just read
this morning from Tuesday(I was out sick), in which a "crappy old" 5kqt totally
smoked a WMB 740something-or-other.(He-he, I'm still smiling about that one.) It's a
bit ridiculous to rip on people for owning "old" cars, when you own an early 80s
Volvo yourself (and your sister owns an 80s Audi). As for your statement about being
only 19 and trading in your 100 on an S6, that's fine, either you have a good job or
daddy is footing the bill; either way, bragging is something left to children, that
is a trait that is very unbecoming for adults.
Levent, you need to temper your enthusism with respect for those with more
experience and knowledge, if you make a mistake don't sweat it, just admit it. The
only way to learn is by mistakes, if we did't make mistakes, we would never learn
anything. When you do make a mistake, admit it and take your licks, they tend to be
in good humor on the QList. Calling everyone on the QList "stupid" and telling us to
"shut the hell up" isn't very PC or nice, and is a good way to make enemies(I don't
know if Dan has ever kicked anyone off the list, but if you get enough people mad,
he might bow to the majority). Just remember, enthusism is a good thing, bad
attitude is NOT.
Just a note for other young QListers out there(active or lurking), please learn from
Levent's experience and don't repeat his mistakes, I will thank you and so will all
other QListers.
