WOT switch fix - 84 5000S, and another loose connector

I wasn't disappointed enough with the performance of
the 5kS to consider performance mods, but I did think it switched
up to top gear awfully early at WOT, going uphill...
After reading the above, I went to look at the switch.
After a lot of trying around, I finally realized that it
doesn't switch one pin to ground, but rather switches
two pins together - not easy to see since the second pin had fallen off.
I have it, as it was still in the connector, hanging by its cable.

I wonder if there's any reliable way to reattach it. It looks as though
it was riveted on in teh first place, and the rivet head has come undone
with time. The part of the pin/spade around the hole is not flat, but bends
back (towards the part where the connector attaches) just before
the edge of the hole. Should that be flat?

BTW, just how much is a WOT switch in the US anyway? Unless
it's really cheap, I'd like to save this one, as it has really
low resistance.

Looking at this, I found another loose connector:
Its cable comes, with some others, from the right side, behind
the WOT switch. It looks similar to the PS/brake fluid sensor
switches, but with slightly larger pin spacing (I think) and
a larger plastic snap-together boot (was nearly square, now severely
melted from engine block heat). Any idea what this could be?

TIA.
