According to the '95 Autovisie jaarboek, towing capacity for the A6 2.8
(manual, non-q) is:

Unbraked trailer: 750 kg
Braked trailer: 1990 kg

Not designed for towing, eh? That's a bl**dy appartment block on wheels!
