Hmmm.....  Good point.  I don't use as much as when I redo the water heater
and leave the first thread or two 'naked' precisely because of this.  I've
been doing this for years and haven't had a problem but then I haven't had
an automatic since the '79 Chrysler Cordoba I had in college.  yes, it did
have "rich, Corinthian leather" (burgundy)... :-)
