With the Lotus, the car is somewhat inexpensive... Lotus would have to
deal with bumpers and airbags AND try to keep this thing at $40k. Maybe
a post 74 MGB solution... but make it removable! The federalized McLaren
F1 looked like a Camaro turned loose on JCWhitney-ized crack. All fed
bits removable for 'auto shows'.

Perhaps with the 'death' of the 4cyl Z3, the frootloops at BMW will
allow the MGF to be imported to the US!!!

There has been talk about loosening the fed restrictions and allowing
cars otherwise unavailable to the US to be imported and allow to be
driven to 'shows' as 'show cars'.
