Thanks for the response Tony. Mike Posner also suggested a vacuum leak.
No engine codes read yet. I did find a three way hose, PN 034103247D
towards the back of the engine, on top, that was split along the hose
clamp. Made it to Clair Audi just *after* they closed the register, but
before they closed the window. Nice guy handed me a hose and took my cash
($21). After scrambling up a couple of hose clamps...what is it with those
pinching clamps, are they a use-once item...I got the new one installed.
Keeping my fingers crossed that this solved the problem. When I flexed the
original split hose, the idle *did* drop. And there was a lot of schmootz
inside the hose itself...
Anyone know what this hose does, and whether it could account for an idling
problem?
BTW the car handles much better with the Turbo Gas struts...not at all
harsh, and *very* controllable. The body now moves in the direction I point
it!
Thanks,
Lee
