one of the weird shocks I get driving the 85 beater is the shift knob
being up in front of the radio, and almost in the glove compartment in
5th gear.... not only did I shorten it and lengthen the bottom of the
lever arm but I off-centered it as much as I could go while still being
able to shift.  Real cozy now.
