GBP35.523.45 on the road, January 1990 - per invoice for David Preece's
car.

UK inflation index in January 1990 (100 in 1987) = 119.5

UK inflation index in September 1998 = 164.4

1990 price corrected for inflation = (35523/119.5)x164.4 = GBP48870

Friday closing interbank rate - GBP1 = $1.7011

Therefore corrected UK ur-quattro price = $83134
