Very good point, but I have to comment as I feel this was partially
directed at me with my post about running plugs 'til my truck wouldn't
start.
I made the comment as a "Hey, look what dumb thing I did, but here's what I
found!" type comment. I'm usually pretty anal about such things, but at the
time I was involved in my last couple years of getting my BS in Aerospace
Engineering, and had a lot more on my mind than the last time I put plugs
in the vehicle. And it's pretty hard to screw up an O2 sensor when there
isn't one on the vehicle, the '85 Toy Trucks had carbs, EFI was optional.
So, I guess what I'm saying is, sometimes "sh** happens", mistakes are made
and certain items are overlooked. It's a totally different situation than
some bonehead trying to save a few dollars by not getting his oil changed
on a regular basis. Try to be more advisory and less critical when giving
advice and you won't ruffle feathers.
